Good Luck to Ewe!

Hey all, it's crafty 'sunburnt' Trix here! lol. Now, living in a flat I don't have my own outdoor space so seized the opportunity on this gorgeous sunny bank holiday Saturday to tag along with Adam to his parent's house (they are on holiday though) to craft out in their garden and catch some rays at the same time; however, I must have been sat at a funny angle as just my right arm and shoulder got really burnt! :o( Still, I managed to sit there and create this little number! Not sure whether to add some more colour to the sheep though...hmmm..
Materials
Papers - PM black cardstock, CCSR Big One Pack, white card from stash
Pencils - Polychromos, HB pencil,
Embellishments - ribbon recycled from my friend's birthday cake; PM gems,
Tools - glossy accents, Whispers black inkpad, guilotine, 3d sticky foam pads, x-cut flower punch
Stamps - sheep set from elzybells, butterflies taken from a Pink Gems stamp
Time for bed now though me thinks..yawn! nightie night.

Sweet enough?

Helloo, me again!
What have I been doing today..hmm..mainly getting stressed at work tbh, so I decided that when I got home I'd go and shut myself away crafting - as you do! I wanted to create something other than a card and, inspired by another blog - can't remember which as done soooo much blog hopping recently - I made a sweetie bag for my friend who's birthday it is on Friday. I used an adorably cute bunny image which I downloaded from http://www.bee-crafty.blogspot.com/ and coloured he/she with my polychromo pencils. I filled a polybag with some haribos, sealed it, folded the top down and stapled it in between a piece of black card which I doodled with white gel pen and patterned paper from the CCSR Big One pack.

Materials
Papers - CCSR Big One Pack, black and white card
Image - download from bee-crafty.blogspot.com
Pencils - Polychromos, white gel pen
Other - clear sealable polybag, ribbon from stash
Tools - crop-a-dile, guilotine, stapler, cutting mat, scissors

Well, thanks for stopping by tonight!
Come back soon! :o)

Coooey! lol

Helloo ma crafty friends
Welcome to the madness that is my world lol!
Yes, that is a plastic pigeon that you are looking at. It actually belongs to my dad who bought a few of them to use as decoys but, very strangely, Tyler (Adam's 3 1/2 year old son) took a real liking to him and wanted to bring him home yesterday. After having been playing in my parents garden, he came into the kitchen holding this plastic pigeon under his arm saying '' I wanted one of these since I was a baby"!!! lol. Strange child eh? Made me giggle though.
Aside from re-homing plastic pigeons this weekend I manage to find time to make this ickle monochrome card for Adam's brother. I didn't intend to keep it all black and white to start with but I when I tried to add colour it became a wee bit feminine - can't be having that! I haven't used my sporty Edwin image in aaaages so thought I'd bring him out for a change.

It's a relatively simple design using mainly the paper piecing technique, two patterned papers, a white gel pen and plain black card.

Must be off now, but tune in again soon for some more crafty antics..

Lilac and Mauve day!

Hey all,

Been a rubbish week tbh. My poor mini has taken a battering in the last 7 days :o(. Yesterday someone backed into it and last Sunday I managed to badly scrape one of it's alloys! Now, if you're not a car fan then I guess that wouldn't seem like a big deal, but I love my car!

Also, in case you have tried the linky on the right to the promarker challenge blog, you'll see, like me, that it no longer exists -unless they have changed the blog address!! :o( I didn't make it up, honestly people!

Moving on though, I thought I'd show you my latest little creation; doesn't look amazingly imaginative, but aside from that I really enjoyed using the image and sentiment and the colours; the ribbon seems to match quite well too.

I am gonna get back to watching 'Britain's Got Talent' now (sad, I know but I find it soo funny!).
Have a great night, whatever you're upto.

Hugz, Trix

Paper Take Challenge

Just a quick posting to show you this little number which I made for this weeks 'Paper Take Challenge'. What do you think of the dog image? I just adore it! It's another download from http://www.bee-crafty.blogspot.com/. I coloured it with my pro-markers and for once I actually like the result! lol. I took the idea for the flower combo from a lovely card that my fellow craft blogger Tina sent me a few months ago (thanks Teen). I layered up the card with papers from the CCSR Big One Pack and gave a distressed look to some of the edges by tearing with my trusting metal ruler and inking them up. I doodled the edges of the main card blank and image with a black fineliner pen. Finally, I added a couple of eyelets with my crop-a-dile and added a sentiment which I cut into bone type shape to fit in with the cute doggy theme! I'd love to hear your comments - good or bad...

Materials:
Papers: CCSR Big One pack, blank white cardstock
Stamps: downloaded image from bee-crafty.blogspot.com, sentiment - CCSR sentiment set
Inks: Versamagic chalk ink - gingerbread, whispers inkpad - black
Pens: Promarkers - Sandstone, satin, cool grey 1, blush; black fineliner
Embellishments: flowers and eyelets - Papermania;
Tools: metal ruler, crop-a-dile, EZ runner-permanent strips, 3D dimensional glue, scissors, 3D sticky pads

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Men! Why are they so difficult? lol

If anyone has any fab tips or suggestions on how to make male cards then send your answers on a postcard to....

Just kidding! I can't say I find it easy though! lol. Here is my attempt at making Adam's birthday card for later this month. It's pretty plain and simple but he tends to like the minimalist look on cards.

I used one of my new personal impressions stamps from the set I bought over the weekend and coloured it with my polychromos (the colours look a lot paler when photographed for some reason). I cut and embossed the circles with my nesties hen shaded with polychromos and stuck on the nail embellishments which I found buried in amongst my craft stash.

Has anyone seen the new Penny Black clear stamp ranges yet? There are several new sets which I found over at http://www.diestodiefor.co.uk/ and I just love them! Can't justify anymore craft purchases this month though :o( Already spent out my polychromo pencil set last week at £30 (ouchy ouch!)

Anyways, if I have enough time I'll enter the Paper Take Challenge this week as I think the sketch is nice and simple yet effective:

Ta ta for now.

Evening Peeps,

Had a good few days off? I don't know what the weather has been like in your part of the country today but down here in Essex it's been pants compared with the rest of the weekend! Had planned on sunning my (quite wintersome pale) self on the beach today but the sun just didn't want to shine. Instead, Adam (my bf) and I went out for a drive and I found (by chance) a little craft and art centre in one of the villages we passed through, so of course we had to stop and pay a visit. In amongst the paintings and local craftwares for sale I found these cute stamps made by 'personal impressions' and they only cost £4.60 for the set:

Whilst posting I thought I'd show you this wedding card I made this week for Adam's cousin. I used one of my new downloaded images from www.bee-crafty.blogspot.com . A real steal at the £1.75 intro rate for a set of 3 wedding themed images.
I have only just started using polychromo pencils so my colouring of the images is not as great as it could be (anyone know of any tips for using these pencils???) printing on textured card didn't help matters though! Silly me. :o(

Materials:::
Papers: Pink paper - PM Sweet Nothings pack, Hearts Paper - Doodlebug Inc.,
Stamps: Wedding Couple - download from www.bee-crafty.blogspot.com, sentiment - www.Impression-Obsession.com,
Inks: Versamagic Chalk Ink 'pixie dust'. Whispers inkpad 'black'
Embellishments: PM and Prima flowers, Ribbons - from stash

Ta ra for now..
