Papertake Weekly Challenge # Dawny's sketch

Hello again

I is hoping you're all enjoying your Sunday (if you're not working). Over at PaperTake Weekly Challenge Blog
Dawny P is hosting this weeks sketch challenge and here is my take on her sketch. Bit of a late entry as was busy with other (more boring) tasks. It's only a basic card due to lack of time but hey, I tried! ;O)

Materials
Papers- by CratePaper, white cardstock
Colouring Medium-Polychromo pencils blended with sansador, white gel pen
Images- Penny Black Mouse stamp, CCSR Male Sentiment
Tools- glue strips, 3d sticky foam, guilotine, glossy accents

Right, I gotta get a move on as off to the parent's for some dinner and to watch the final of the apprentice and I haven't even showered yet!

Paper Take Challenge

Just a quick posting to show you this little number which I made for this weeks 'Paper Take Challenge'. What do you think of the dog image? I just adore it! It's another download from http://www.bee-crafty.blogspot.com/. I coloured it with my pro-markers and for once I actually like the result! lol. I took the idea for the flower combo from a lovely card that my fellow craft blogger Tina sent me a few months ago (thanks Teen). I layered up the card with papers from the CCSR Big One Pack and gave a distressed look to some of the edges by tearing with my trusting metal ruler and inking them up. I doodled the edges of the main card blank and image with a black fineliner pen. Finally, I added a couple of eyelets with my crop-a-dile and added a sentiment which I cut into bone type shape to fit in with the cute doggy theme! I'd love to hear your comments - good or bad...

Materials:
Papers: CCSR Big One pack, blank white cardstock
Stamps: downloaded image from bee-crafty.blogspot.com, sentiment - CCSR sentiment set
Inks: Versamagic chalk ink - gingerbread, whispers inkpad - black
Pens: Promarkers - Sandstone, satin, cool grey 1, blush; black fineliner
Embellishments: flowers and eyelets - Papermania;
Tools: metal ruler, crop-a-dile, EZ runner-permanent strips, 3D dimensional glue, scissors, 3D sticky pads

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all enjoy your weekend!
Love

Men! Why are they so difficult? lol

If anyone has any fab tips or suggestions on how to make male cards then send your answers on a postcard to....

Just kidding! I can't say I find it easy though! lol. Here is my attempt at making Adam's birthday card for later this month. It's pretty plain and simple but he tends to like the minimalist look on cards.

I used one of my new personal impressions stamps from the set I bought over the weekend and coloured it with my polychromos (the colours look a lot paler when photographed for some reason). I cut and embossed the circles with my nesties hen shaded with polychromos and stuck on the nail embellishments which I found buried in amongst my craft stash.

Has anyone seen the new Penny Black clear stamp ranges yet? There are several new sets which I found over at http://www.diestodiefor.co.uk/ and I just love them! Can't justify anymore craft purchases this month though :o( Already spent out my polychromo pencil set last week at £30 (ouchy ouch!)

Anyways, if I have enough time I'll enter the Paper Take Challenge this week as I think the sketch is nice and simple yet effective:

Ta ta for now.
