My Fave Sheepies!

Ooh, am excited bout Clare Curd's launch party for her new signature range on her blog that kicks off tonight from 6.30. Some of my fave designers (Tab and Katy) make up her DT.

Been what feels like a long day today already - woke up about 6ish and didn't get back to sleep. Still, I've had quite a productive day so far and also managed to pick up a few crafty bits in town - not from a craft shop (don't think they really exist in town centres anymore do they?) but from a material/remnant shop. I only picked up some gingham ribbon and big spotty black and white buttons but hey, small things please small minds hehe.

Here's a new card made earlier in the week using my elzybell sheep stamps. The patterned paper by doodlebug I bought ages ago - just cos I loved it - and have finally used it on this baby girl card. It's one of 15 cards I've gotta make for the company I work for (they like to keep some in stock). They are only paying me £1.50 a card so tried to keep costly materials to a minimum, but really struggled.

Materials: coredinations pink card (distressed), doodlebug baby girl patterned paper (torn), gingham ribbon from stash, elzybells 'celebration sheep 1' stamp set, versacolour magic chalk ink in 'pixie dust', promarkers to colour images.

That Friday Feeling!

It's Friday again and more importantly it's pay day! Been and had a long overdue haircut this afternoon. I'd forgotten how nice it is to have someone else wash and style your locks lol. Even though I only had a trim I was still in the salon for over an hour and a half. Mind you, I did have my hair curled afterwards.
Anyways, last night I was blog hopping and came across Clare Curd's blog (see blinkie to the right for quick link) and she's launching a new craft range tomorrow by the looks of it. I'll definately be checking that out.
Going out for some din's with the bf shortly so no card-making this evening but no doubt will fit some in over the weekend (get withdrawal symptoms if dont!)
Have a good one all! x

Evening all. Another working day over over and done with. I can't access blogs from work hence the late posts. Not sure what was up with my boss today but I couldn't do anything right! Just got grunted at most of the day. To top things off I found out my parent's business (estate agency) could go under in the next few days which leaves me worrying for them big time!
I'll get crafting tonight to take my mind off it I think.

As mentioned in my post earlier this week, I have been working on my 'colourcreatechallenge' attempt, the theme for which is pink and grey and cute and cuddly. I used a Sugar Nellie image and managed to find a 'cuddly' sentiment which I thought added a nice touch to the card. Been trying to think what occasion to use this card for so have left the inside blank for now. What do you think peeps?

Materials: Ribbon - from stash: Sugar Nellie Stamp; Promarkers (Cool Grey1 and 2, Dusky Pink, Ivory and Satin); coredinations pink cardstock distressed with scissors; grey, marble effect piece of card (stash) embossed with the divine swirls - cuttlebug folder; flower charm - ebay; flower stamp on background - from the 'elzybells' celebration sheep 1 stamp set; white gel pen.

How happy am I!

Evening everyone! Look what the postie delivered this morning..

I couldn't understand who sent them and why as all that was in the package with them was a compliments slip..! Sometime later it dawned on me. I remember entering a competition in last month's cards and papercraft magazine which, without knowing, have won! I never win anything so it I had a smile on my face for the rest of the day! :O) I could'nt wait to get home from work so I could have a play with them lol. x
Hope you all had a great weekend. I'll be posting my next colour create challenge card tomorrow..this week's theme is pink and grey with a sub theme of cute and cuddly so just had to take part..
ta ta for now.

Double Challenge

Hi there crafty peeps

Hope everyone is ok. I was in a good mood today as the sun was shining and it (almost) felt warm for a change :O)
This week I had a card to make for my boyfriend's dad who likes rugby so thought it a good excuse to use my stamped Hamish image that Tina (Macpurp) gave me me. I used (as always) my promarkers to colour him and also the red background.

There were two challenges I wanted to take part in this week. The first being the colour create challenge which required a blue and red theme, then there's the Friday Sketcher's challenge.
Any comments welcomed.
Night all x

Evening all! Hope your day's been a good one.

I haven't been crafting for last couple of days (boo) as working on job applications as things looking a bit iffy in my current job. I wish cardmaking warranted a salary!

I did have time at the weekend to make St.Paddy's Day card ordered by my (Irish, of course) friend at work. I used one of my new stamps from a set by Elizabeth at elzybells.co.uk and my beloved nesties and some new charms I bought on ebay. The pictures seem to make it look quite plain though. See what you think...

Hi Peeps

Can't believe it's been about a week since I last posted! I have been working on a few projects though. Feels like it should be Friday today (wish it was!). Today I received a lovely little package from Mr Postie...my first order from elzybells.co.uk of their cool and cute sheep. Not normally a sheep fan but these are so sweet and I needed a stamp that I could use on a 'St.Patrick's day' card order and this set of stamps includes a perfect image hehe.

Well, I haven't entered a card challenge blog for while so I thought I'd have a go at the 'Colour Create' one this week. The theme is Peach and Aqua. Now, this colour doesn't feature heavily in my craft stash so really was a challenge!

If I don't post again beforehand than have a great weekend all! x x
